2K Showcase: Michigan’s Top Programs Tip Off in Exhibition Doubleheaders

The high school basketball season is almost here, but before the chase for championships begins, fans will get an early look at some of Michigan’s best programs as the 2K Showcase hosts a pair of exhibition doubleheaders at Northview High School.

The action tips off Saturday, Nov. 22, featuring Grand Rapids Catholic Central – last year’s Division 2 runner-up and East Lansing, the defending Division 1 state champions. Both enter the preseason ranked inside the top five of their divisions, bringing championship pedigree and star power to the opening game.

Game two on Nov. 22 pairs Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. against host Grand Rapids Northview. Each program sits in the Division 1 top 10 to start the year, setting up an early test for two squads built to make deep March runs.

The Showcase continues Saturday, Nov. 29, when Rockford takes on Kalamazoo Central in a meeting of two more preseason top-10 teams. The holiday weekend doubleheader closes with Hudsonville, a top-20 Division 1 program, squaring off against Northview.
